In my opinion there are a few staple items every woman should have in her closet, some of the most universally known would be the LBD (little black dress) and nude pumps. Aside from the obvious there are pieces that have continually stood the test of time proving their worth and versatility over and over again. The Tuxedo Blazer was made an instant icon by YSL in 1966 when donning masculine duds was still controversial.
Like the LBD a black blazer is the perfect piece to pull together a look in minutes. From dressy to casual there is an infinate number of ways to style this piece which is great because you can taylor it to your style. I have worn mine with cutoffs and a white T, or casually thrown over a cocktail dress when there is a chill in there air.
This season Kate Moss debuted her second capsule collection for Topshop, included among her carefully crafted collection is a fabulous Lamé Tuxedo Jacket. I personally love it because the cut accentuates all the right parts of a woman’s body, and the sleeve hits just above the wrist so you can still wear your fave bracelets or statement watch. These pieces are limited edition so make sure to snag one before its too late!
