The little black dress (affectionately known as the LBD) is one of, if not the most iconic dress in the history of fashion for many reasons.
It’s easy to accessorize, slimming, and says ‘I mean business’ in an understated way – I mean, what’s not to love?
Having spent the last decade of my existence in the fashion industry, lets just say I wear a lot of black, and perhaps more importantly… I have learned that not all LBD’s are created equal.
Some wrinkle way to easily, some fade or shrink after one wash…but every once in awhile, a LBD comes along that fits like a glove. Such is the case with my new LBD from Clothe + Arrow, a fabulous new boutique based out of Oceanside, California.
Lattice? Check. Pseudo velvety suede-like material? Of course. Pockets? Obvi. The gangs all here!
When I slipped this shift on, I am not even kidding when I say it feels like s second skin – for starters, the length of the dress is on point and is lined on the inside so it won’t ride up when you walk.
I also love how well the dress fits! I’m only 5’5 and tend to avoid buying shift dresses, because many of them have little to no shape, so I feel like a walking bolt of fabric, but this lattice dress manages to give shape while remaining comfy, and I love that I can dress it down with sneakers, or up with heels!
Make sure to check out Clothe + Arrow, and follow them on Instagram – you will freak out, and not just because of their clothes! Cactus adorned yoga mats, bull-head emblazoned dream catchers – this boutique was made for the eternal wanderers and boho babes that love to take the road less traveled and find truly unique treasures to add to their closets.
BTW I have super exciting news for all my local babes, Clothe + Arrow will be having their grand opening here in San Diego soon, and it is sure to be a night to remember, so stay tuned for deets and a save the date coming your way!
