Coffee table books are one of my ultimate home decor essentials.
Not only do I love the posh aesthetic they add to any living space, I love the inspiration they provide. Fashion houses like YSL, Chanel and Louis Vuitton to style icons like Garance Doré and Aimee Song share their infinite wisdom about how to live with style.
BTW – Depending upon your tastes, you might suffer from sticker shock because coffee table books can be a bit of an investment (especially the designer ones) but I have found that Amazon.com offers them in a variety of conditions. Not gonna lie, I have found so many books on Amazon that were practically in plastic for half the price, who cares if it sat on someone else’s coffee table first? Maybe it was Rachel Zoe’s.
I love starting mini collections of my favorite ones either by author or theme: Legends like Vogue and Chanel, the effortlessness of French signature style by Garancé Dore or Ines de la Fressange, the timeless travel trunks by Louis Vuitton and the je ne sais quoi of YSL litter my coffee table and fill my shelves. Other faves include books by girl bosses like Rachel Zoe, Emily Schuman, Aimee Song and Nina Garcia. Love them all!
If you have been with me for a minute, you’ll know I have been redecorating my house and just picked up a gorgeous new coffee table by Joe Bedford of Bedford Built in Little Italy, San Diego. Its made of dark redwood and has its own unique shape. With it being a smaller surface than my last coffee table I had to limit my choices of decor so I opted for Chanel: The Vocabulary of Style and Garancé Dore’s book Love Style Life a few of my favorite coffee table books that also tie the room together with their black and blush covers.
I own waaaay more than 5 Fashion related coffee table books but if I had to whittle it down to my faves, these are it.
